Shanghai Onlan Communication Technology Co., Ltd. is an equipment supplier that is engaged especially in the research, development andproduction of two-way access technology of HFC network, and also a technical service provider. It still takes the leading position in the technology of two-way access of last 100 meters, optical transmission of super long distance and build-up of two-way HFC network.

In 2006, it put out first the new technology of last 100 meters two-way access of HFC network and Elink serial products in China. This technology makes the full use of the existing coax cable network resource and realizes the two-way access of HFC network , which has been paid great attention to by the insiders. The Elink serial products take the possession of many own intellectual properties and have got 8 items of patents. They were appraised as the new and high technology achievement in 2006 and received the licence of Grade A. Meanwhile the achievement also got the financial support from the technical innovative fund of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. In 2007, the company was given the free financial support by the technical innovative fund of scientific small and medium enterprises under National Ministry of Science and Technology. The quality control system of the company has been certified in ISO9000 by BSI ---the British Authorized organization. It was in 2006 in particular that the Elink serial products were put into the largest commercial application in China in the CATV network of Zhi Bo city, Shan Dong province.,which made more than 100 thousand users' two-way broadband access come true. This technology passed the on-the-spot test and check, and accepted by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television in November, 2007.

In the 1550nm super long distance transmission, the company has made some records by using of the advanced dispersion averaged compensation:
a) the record of the longest distance transmission with the same technology applied in China by the completion of the experiment of the 1000 kilometers super long distance transmission of digital television signal for 60 sets of 640QAM with the wave length 1550nm;

b) the record of transmission of the most analogic channels----up to 62 channels and of the longest distance transmission, up to 270 kilometers in China in the undertaking of the construction project of super long distance transmission offered by Xinjiang Production & Construction Corps.

c) the record of the transmission of up to 573 kilometers for digital television signal of 80 sets of 640QAM in the undertaking of the construction project of super long distance network in Ning Xia, which is the applied case of the longest distance transmission of digital television signal in China.

These practices have shown the fact that with development and improvement of the technology of dispersion compensation in the wave length 1550nm, the RF transmission of 1550nm can replace the expensive transmission of SDH and toward the transmission of digital television signal with higher capacity, longer distance, larger scale and better quality.

The company has alos accomplished the achievement in the management of network equipment and systems. Based on the years’ practice of built-in net response, it creates the grandly new external net response-------centrallized network access devices-----Mlink serials, which has separated the previous internal integrated modules from inside of the equipment and sovled the difficult problems for many enterprises in the industy of radio, film and television.

In the respcet of the build-up of two-way access network of HFC, the company proposes that the technology of directly modulated 1550nm and of the whole AsGa building type opticla receiver with low power consumption can be introduced to trnasform or set up a two-way broadband access network with all fiber.
